Methodology
Testing methodology — practical, repeatable, agency-ready
My approach combines automation and human testing into a single, efficient workflow designed to produce reproducible, developer-actionable results.
Step-by-step
- Baseline scanning: Run automated and AI-assisted scans to gather an initial list of potential issues.
- Prioritization: Triage findings by impact and likelihood, focusing manual effort where it matters most.
- Manual validation: Test issues on real devices and with real assistive tech, documenting exact reproduction steps.
- Contextual analysis: Evaluate how issues affect real user journeys, not just isolated components.
- Reporting: Deliver clear, WCAG-mapped findings with remediation suggestions and code-level hints where helpful.
- Verification: Retest fixes and confirm resolution; provide verification notes for your records.
Typical devices & setups
I test on a rotating set of devices and configurations to capture realistic behavior. Current baseline testing includes:
- Windows with Narrator, NVDA, and JAWS
- macOS with VoiceOver
- iPhone (recent iOS) with VoiceOver
- Android (recent versions) with TalkBack
How I communicate
I keep communication clear, consistent, and easy to follow. You can expect direct updates on what was tested, what occurred, and any issues that require attention. When something isn’t reproducible or needs clarification, I work with your team to align our environments and identify the point of failure. Whether we use chat, email, or live sessions, the goal is the same: ensure your team has all the information it needs to proceed confidently.
